Ms. Vomastek graduated from Michigan State University with her bachelor’s degree in audiology & speech science in 1995 and her master’s Degree in speech language pathology from Nova Southeastern University in 1998. She has had the privilege of working in both medical and educational settings over the past 18 years. During that time, she has been given the Excellence in Special Education Award twice and is a recent graduate of Asha’s Leadership Development program.
Ms. Vomastek is currently employed by Kalamazoo RESA and works for WoodsEdge Learning Center, a center based program. Her clients range in age from 5 to 18 and have one of the following educational labels; Severe Cognitive Impairment (SCI), Otherwise Health Impaired (OHI), Severe Multiple Impairment (SXI) or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She volunteers her time as an offsite supervisor for graduate level students through Western Michigan University and Grand Valley State University and loves her role as mentor. Ms. Vomastek lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan with her two children named Will and Ella.
